The Red Deer Hospice offers the following services and events to residents and their loved ones, the community, agencies, and businesses in Central Alberta.
GRIEF IN THE WORKPLACE
This one-hour presentation will assist employers and employees in understanding the ‘norms’ of grief and how to support those who are grieving.
Specific information as it relates to the workplace is provided, as well as a resource package for future reference.
‘GOOD GRIEF’ – BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP
This eight-week series offers information, strategies and reflection in a supportive environment on topics related to the grief experience.
This series is specifically designed for anyone who has experienced the death of someone important to them and who wants to learn how to manage this journey called grief.
WHERE EVER YOU ARE IN YOUR JOURNEY, WE INVITE YOU TO JOIN US IN THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS:
Walk and Talk
Saturday mornings from 10:30-11:30 am we offer a ‘Walk and talk’ around the Anders neighborhood. Meet at Red Deer Hospice where volunteers will be waiting to join you. If the weather is uncertain, come anyway – as it will then become a ‘sit and sip’.
Yoga
Join us Friday afternoons from 2 –3 pm for a gentle and relaxing form of yoga, led by a trained instructor from the Y.A.R.D. (Yoga Association of Red Deer). Come as you are – sit in a chair or on a towel on the floor and experience increased energy flow and reduced stress…a gift to yourself
LOSS LECTURES
Throughout the year, you can look forward to workshops designed to assist those who have suffered a loss, through difficult times such as holidays, special occasions and seasonal changes.
These two-hour sessions will be held in the evening.
