Red Deer Hospice is dedicated to providing enhanced end-of-life care to individuals who are dying and their loved ones. Our Fund a Day campaign is one way for individuals, groups, or businesses to contribute to the care of a terminally ill person and helps Red Deer Hospice continue to provide quality end-of-life care.
Care costs at the Hospice are not covered by Alberta Health Care. There is no set fee to stay at the Hospice and no one is ever denied care due to financial situations. A portion of our operational costs are covered through an agreement with the David Thomson Health Region, however as a not for profit society we depend primarily on donations and fundraising efforts to meet our projected operational budget of over $1 Million ($285/bed/day).
The Fund a Day campaign has been designed to insure the Hospice the ability to continue to honor the terminally ill and provide services at no set fee. Sponsorship opportunities will include six different levels while offering varying sponsor entitlements.
