You can make a difference to end of life care in central Alberta by helping Red Deer Hospice achieve our goal of enhanced care for all who face this difficult time.
As a not-for-profit organization, Red Deer Hospice relies on charitable contributions to carry on our mission; please chose one of the following ways to make a donation.
- Gifts of Cash – Cash gifts immediately go to work and can be designated to a specific program or object or left to us as trusted stewards to utilize the funds in the most economical manner.
- Monthly donations – monthly giving is a way to organize and maximize your giving and allows Hospice an anticipated a stream of donations to plan programs with certainty or to make long term commitments to projects.
- Memorial donations – with a memorial donation the Hospice will send a card to family to tell them of your gift and will send you a tax receipt.
- Planned or deferred giving – a planned gift is a special gift for the future which provides a source of future support for the Hospice while providing you a personal tax benefit. These gifts are arranged in the present but actualized at a later date. Examples include bequests, life insurance, charitable gift annuities and gifts of property.
- Donations of publicly traded securities – arrangements are in place to allow individuals to offer gifts of publicly traded securities. Donations of securities made directly to Hospice can affect tax paid on capital gains and impact your tax return.
- Events – every year Hospice plans fundraising events in the community or others host events which benefit Hospice. Watch for upcoming events or call if you are interested in hosting an event.
- Gifts in Kind – a donation of a gift in kind helps us by keeping costs to a minimum. Supplies, auction items, etc. are greatly appreciated.
